Ministry to the Sick
“Is any among you sick? Let them call for the elders of the Church, and let them pray over the sick, anointing them with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise them up; and if they have committed sins, they will be forgiven.” (James 5:14-15)
Pastoral care to the sick supports life, brings comfort, hope and connectedness to our parishioners. It is an integral part of parish life that the priest will visit the sick and housebound of the parish usually on the first Friday of the month. If you are not on the First Friday List and you would like the priest to call to you, please contact the Parish Office on 021 455 1276.
Should you be in hospital your sacramental needs will be met (Penance, Eucharist & Anointing) so while in hospital ask for the chaplain to visit you.
When you return home inform the parish so that we can attend to your spiritual needs. Should you be in a Nursing Home – let us know so that we can remember you in our prayers and in our Masses.
